"Contemporary Classic" Garden Design Style & Services As well as growing topiary and standards, we are often asked to advise on suitable and stylish planting schemes. In terms of my design style - I'd describe it as "contemporary classic" - a backbone of structure and formality, splashes of colour and flowers, and beautiful plant combinations using proven classics + contemporary plants that go well together. A couple of years ago, I won Wellington's (only) garden design competition for innovative design & use of plants, sponsored by The Wellington Botanic Garden. Typically, our garden projects are small – medium sized, such as entrances, courtyards, front or back gardens - with a total cost in the range $3,000 - $35,000.
