Here are my favourite “before” and “after” photos taken over the course of the year.

1: August 2006 - a garden in waiting

Beautifully planted up by the Botanic Garden's team for the Spring Festival, with a
dusting of Rhododendron petals

2: January 2007 – lit up and looking fabulous

Taken at dusk, and being enjoyed by Wellingtonians during the Light & Sound Festival.

3: August 2007 - the garden in context

I love the structure of this photo, with Ruby Necklace set perfectly under the grande
dame Norfolk Pine and in front of the scalloped Sound ”Shell”. This is the last photo
before the garden was taken out in August 2007.
