We have many projects underway, at various stage of completion. Here is a selection of some of our current work .....

Garden consultation, landscaping and planting: 2024 This is a lovely project for a retired couple who recently downsized to a new build on the flat. We stained all the fences, and planted climbers; installed pathways around the house, and planted up the front door and small front garden in small growing trees, leafy greens and seasonal pinks and whites.

Original garden design: 2006 Garden refresh underway: 2023 – 2024 This was one of my early garden designs in 2006. And now it is time for a refresh. My lovely customer wanted to do away with the lawn, and create organic edible gardens, together with a potting shed, rain water catchment and storage, composting & worm farm. We are also planting fruit trees supported by a food forest system on the street front.

Garage & entrance landscaping: 2023-2024 Planting plan: 2023 Planting underway: 2024-2025 I have been working with the lovely owners to help finish their landscaping; and I’m looking forward to planting those empty planter boxes, and creating points of interest up the new steps!

Architects: Jasmax Renovations and landscape architecture: Craig Houghton Garden design, planting plan & planting 2024 The substantial terraced landscaping had already been done for the lucky new owners of this property; and they have asked me to replant the garden in seasonal flowers and foliage.

Garden design:2020 Landscaping: 2020-2025 Planting: 2025 The owners have been meticulously managing the landscaping build, and this year we have begun the planting to create a quintessential contemporary classic Hedge garden design.

Garden design front garden: 2011 Garden design back garden: 2022 Landscaping: 2023-2024 to be followed by planting 2025 Landscaping has begun to create layers privacy from a new housing development next door – including a new deck, potentially a pergola (my clients are yet to be convinced!), pleached trees alonfg the fence line, privacy trees, and a new private outdoor area tucked around the other side of the house.

Consultation: 2023 Landscaping began: 2023/24 Planting Plan: 2024 Planting: underway by owner 2025 This started out as a consultation, working with the very capable owners, to develop a new outdoor living area including a pergola, new planters and a water feature to compliment their very styley mid century modern house.

2023-24 Consulting designers on landscaping while house renovations underway 2025 Planting plan This amazing beachfront house renovation is being undertaken by interior designer and her husband builder Rachel & Paul Steinmetz of Apple Tree Designs. I have been working with Rachel on the landscaping layout and design details, which they have meticulously detailed and built. I left them with the planting scheme before heading overseas on sabbatical in 2025, and I can't wait to see the results.

Architects: Novak + Middleton Builders: Matthew Cunningham Significant renovations, retaining & landscaping: underway 2023 – 2024 Garden design & planting: 2024 - 2025 I have been advising on the landscaping through the build in 2023, to make sure the extensive built spaces will support plant life! We will then be greening up the walls, and making the most of every available planting spaces for this young family to use and enjoy.

Architect: Alan Minty New build: began 2023 and expected to be completed 2024 Garden design & planting: 2024 - 2025 These owners have subdivided the section of their large family home in Lowry Bay, originally designed by Alan Minty; and they are moving next door onto the tennis court! Alan is also designing the new home & I have been working with him, making suggestions around the landscaping to incorporate into the build, and preparing the gardens for planting as they build.
