Conditions:
Coastal/wind hardy. Prefers full sun, but OK in light shade. Doesn't like waterlogged soil.
Features:
Tough Aussie native & well suited to dry, sunny coastal & windy conditions. Small growing naturally compact cultivars - so they maintain a natural moundy shape. Evergreen, with ferny silver green leaves and small starry pale lavender almost white flowers in spring. Grows up to 80cm round. Can be can easily be maintained to size by trimming.
Design Ideas:
Plant balls on masse, or mixed with other balls for a change in texture. Mix balls with Silver Germander, Corokia "Geentys Green", Pittosporum "Golf Ball", Buxus "Green Gem" or NZ Native Box Melicytus obovatus on the coast.
Care:
Easy care. Moderate growing, trim quarterly if needed.
